Politico reports that Obama campaign analytics guru Ken Strasma will teach “the first-ever online course on the use of predictive analytics in politics.” For data nerds in the political world, this could be an interesting look behind the curtain.
The course will be taught under the auspices of Statistics.com and will last for four weeks, starting on March 7. The cost is $499.
The syllabus identifies a variety of topics, including:
- “calculating the effectiveness of a voter contact”
- targeting for online and broadcast media
Strasma, co-founder of Haystaq DNA, will also be penning a book for Cambridge University Press “on harnessing predictive analytics in politics and business,” according to Politico.
